Let Them See Clearly (LTSC): Make vision therapy a recognized treatment for Binocular Vision Disorder (BVD)

Created by C.C. on April 29, 2016

BVD (whether caused by genetics or head trauma) is when both eyes are not working together, resulting in: headaches while reading or watching 3D movies, motion sickness, double vision, cross/lazy eyes, or other impairing symptoms. (http://www.vlca.com/visionsymptoms.php)
1 in 5 students have BVD, which impairs reading and learning.

Vision therapy is 75% effective in treating BVD.

LTSC is advocating for members of Congress to pass legislation to facilitate the expanded use of office-based optometric vision therapy and ensure that office-based optometric vision therapy is readily available to all those need it, at the same cost as other federally-recognized therapies and activities.
