If money is now equal to speech in our political forum then, through the first amendments protection of free speech, individual citizens should be allowed to determine where a certain percentage of their taxes go. if someone believes that the environment is a larger issue than military expansion or that veteran support is more important than education funding, then let them show their view by determining what branches of government get a percentage of their taxes, hopefully between 25%-50%, to allow for a more direct democracy.
