On a .gov website show a graph of expected total Social Security payments received for each combination of starting age and mortality.
Let us chart when we expect to die, then tell us when best to start collecting Social Security. For example, the total payment would be $0 for someone who was going to wait until 67 to start collecting but dies at 66. Answer questions such as, "How long would one need to live to make it worthwhile to start collecting at 70 instead of at 62?"
