My petition is to stand up for college students who are not receiving an adequate amount of funding for their future college careers.31%of Americans CANNOT afford college. 31% of this nations students who will now not be enrolled in any sort of higher continuing education program after high school, because of the affordability. Just because some families show a 6 figure salary on paper,DOES NOT mean that they are well of and are able to afford college for their children. As inflation goes up,so does the tuition of colleges, but what goes up as well is the dropout rates, the students NOT enrolled and the amount of DEBT young adults are left in. Rather colleges giving full rides and salaries to athletes, they should be using some of that $ & giving it to scholar students who can't afford it
