Jonathan, endured much in his short 5 years. He first arrived at his foster parents home at 2 1/2 yrs of age barely able to communicate his basic needs. His fosterparents fell in love with him...adopting him, and his siblings.
Jonathan's new parents found out about the miracle of COCHLEAR IMPLANTS - a surgically implanted device that RESTORES SOUND to the DEAF. The brain must learn to interpret sound through listening! Jonathan responded happily to hearing and blushed the first time he heard his family speak to him.
Jonathan is in Kindergarten using SPOKEN LANGUAGE like that of his peers! excelling! The school refuses to adapt to the medical recommendations and Jonathan's needs to keep SPOKEN LANGUAGE HIS ONLY MODE .
