Experts say, with a four day work week, employees will be better rested and more productive. We’ll spend less time commuting, which not only saves time, frustration and money but will help save the environment by emitting less CO2 in the air.
Why is the standard work week five days?
During the Industrial Revolution, factories needed to run around the clock, working 10-16 hours 5-6 days a week. In the 1920’s Henry Ford established the 40 hour, 5 day work week and we have been following this 5 day modal for the last century. I think its time to restructure the week to optimize life!
By working one less day a week, the average family will save $5,054 on child care ,$126.87 in gas money per year and the average car would save 10179.65 grams of CO2 released in to the air every year.
