Please create "Ashley's Law," a two part law to protect the disabled and helpless from abuse and neglect. Please pass a law so that home health care aides that report abuse and neglect cannot be retaliated against and fired from their jobs. Also, please mandate home / conditions checks for the disabled to make sure that they have acceptable and decent care and living conditions. Such laws could have protected 22 year old Ashley Hamilton from abuse and neglect.
