Whether we use daylight savings time or standard time permanently is not as important as eliminating the disruptive twice annual time shift. While many interests have made claims that DST or ST is preferable, much of is unfounded and lacking in merit. With the recent changes made in 2007 and to the law, the US now observes DST for nearly two thirds of the year from early March through November. This has only added to the complication of the time change by creating confusion and uncertainty to the rules. While there may be some benefit to each time format, it is clear that switching between the two does little but cause disruption. Let's make this March the last time we observe a time shift.
