Let's make junk mail opt-in.

Created by M.E. on March 22, 2015

If the USPS needs to deliver junk mail to be viable, they don’t have a viable business model. Let’s fix it.

The response rate to mass mailings is about 2%. 98% of people take their junk mail directly to the recycle bin or to the trash. That’s a waste of our time, the USPS staff’s time and resources, and fuel to deliver the tons of paper.

Neither paper nor the toxic inks are “throw-away” resources. There is no such thing as a throw-away resource.

We need an opt-in policy for junk mail. USPS can charge much more for the advertising mailings if they are now going to “targeted” customers who want to receive these mailings.

I’ve had enough, have you?
