In recent weeks the number of mass shootings has dramatically increased. In movie, theaters, public schools, across the country. We can talk about gun control all day. But I want to introduce a simple solution as part of public safety.
Let's introduce police alarms into our public schools and other government buildings. Just like we have fire alarms, when pulled up notify the fire department and buildings are evacuated.
Police alarms would do exactly the opposite. Public schools and government buildings would go into a locked down. Where the doors would be immediately locked and some individuals based on location would evacuate the building. This would also trigger an immediate police response.
I want to see a federal law passed mandating police alarms be put in all public schools.
