levy a nominal fee on each round of ammunition sold within the U.S., with the proceeds directed to aiding gun victims.

Created by N.C. on December 14, 2012

Gunshot wounds routinely cause devastating injuries, which necessitate emergency medical attention to save the victim's life...and whether or not the victim survives, they, their family and their healthcare provider are saddled with massive medical bills that are capable of bankrupting a family.

Gunshot victims who do survive often require months of physical- and psychological therapy to regain a semblance of `normal life' - and they are frequently robbed of capabilities that once allowed them to earn a living.

To help defray these costs, a fee shall be imposed on the sale of every round of firearm ammunition, with the proceeds going to a fund to assist gunshot victims pay medical bills, rehabilitation costs, funeral expenses and survivor support.
