levy a surcharge on firearm sales large enough to fund airport-level security in every k-12 school in the U.S.

Created by D.H. on December 14, 2012

Despite all of the mass shootings throughout the United States, there does not seem to be sufficient political courage in Government to enact even the most mild and common-sense limits on firearm ownership. If we cannot prevent people from purchasing firearms so easily, we should at the very least do more to protect our children from those firearms through heightened security. Increasing security at schools would be expensive, and it is only fair that those purchasing firearms shoulder those costs.
