Liberia's "negro-only" citizenship policy.

Created by R.H. on August 28, 2013

Enshrined in Liberia's constitution is a clause that states:

"only persons who are Negroes or of Negro descent shall

qualify by birth or by naturalization to be citizens of Liberia."

Our government should not be giving aid, or support, to a country that has such a blatantly racist policy. Let us send a message to the government of Liberia that such bigotry will not be tolerated. We must stop foreign aid to Liberia, and cut of diplomatic relations with it, until its constitution is amended to guarantee racial equality.
