Life's Liberties is a petition to appeal amendment one voted in by North Carolinians on May 9, 2012. This amendment solely states marriage is a union between a man and a woman, slamming the door on same-sex marriages. Over 90% of the voters voted this amendment in because of The Bible. Our government strictly states "Separation of Church and State". This amendment was masked, it also took away rights of straight couples who are not married. The government displayed "Media Manipulation", which means they let you see what they wanted you to see. Over 50% of the people who voted for the amendment did not know that the Domestic Violence Law would be weakened, Will and Trusts may be interfered with, and people could lose benefits at work; just because they are not married.
