There is currently a 25 year wait period or restriction on importing vehicles from other countries. The imported cars that are 25 years old are already on the streets today in America, the newer vehicles have higher safety standards, better emissions regulations, and they have better technology. By removing this ban, you can put a higher tariff on imported vehicles, while still allowing us to be unique and choose a car that is currently not legal here. Cars could also subject to state emissions regulations. This would make a large amount of people extremely happy, while generating revenue from the tariff placed on the vehicle.
