On June 5, 2016, Ariel Helwani, Esther Lin, and E. Casey Leydon were banned for life from covering live UFC event because Helwani broke a news story that the UFC did not want to announce. This ban is affecting three very talented people from making a living and if the UFC keeps on this path to control the media the UFC will hurt other journalist from doing their jobs.
