Lift the ban on crude oil exports.

Created by J.L. on December 17, 2014

For 40 years U.S. oil exports have been banned. This is an antiquated policy that was the result of shortages that occurred during the 1970s. Now however this ban is preventing economic growth in many oil producing states such as North Dakota, Texas and Alaska. Repealing the ban would also create much needed revenue for state and local governments. It would also prevent large monopolies like OPEC from being able to suffocate US producers and then subsequently raise prices to levels that would financially hurt the average middle-class consumer. It would also create many high paying jobs which are even more necessary given current economic conditions. President Obama I challenge you to do what is best for the future of the U.S. economy and american people by repealing the export ban.
