Lift the ban on women serving in direct combat roles in the US armed forces.

This petition calls for the repeal of the ban on women serving in direct combat roles in the United States Armed Forces. To exclude women from combat is not only a blatant disregard for the equality that the US is supposed to stand for, but is also an indication of sexism, a poor attitude towards change, and a contradictory point of view on the equality that all service members, male AND female, are fighting for and dying for at this very moment.
