lift the embargo against Cuba to benefit our economy.

Created by N.T. on December 07, 2013

For over 50 years, the United States Federal Government has held the Castro Regime of Cuba in a total economic choke hold. However, the Castros have bigger lungs than we thought. The Embargo was first instated to topple the communist regime of Cuba and weaken the Soviet Presence in the western hemisphere. 50 years later, the Cold War is over, and communism is still omnipresent in Cuba. The Embargo costs the United States 1.2 billion dollars a year to maintain. The Embargo is NOT WORKING. The Obama administration should abandon the dated policy that has cost us billions of dollars and done nothing more than propel Cuba into poverty. Cuba, currently, is an untapped reserve of economic possibility. We could be making millions in tourism, drilling, nickel and more. We must lift the Embargo
