The long standing embargo with Cuba that the United States has needs to be lifted. The US is the only country that still withholds its embargo. This embargo is no longer needed no matter how much a politician wants to keep Florida. I can think of no better way to passively introduce democracy to the country. The embargo has been in place for over 40 years now. Fidel is out of power so if we open up our borders to them than they may make the communist party shrink a little. Families have been kept separated because of this embargo. The time has come to be a little more forward thinking and get rid of the embargo.
