Legalizing marijuana would not only create millions in tax revenue it would stop sending marijuana users to prison, thrown in with killers and rapist. The states of Colorado and Washington recently lifted the ban on marijuana sale and consumption. The federal government needs to recognize states sovereign power and let states decide what they deem as an "illegal" substance. The fact that marijuana was made illegal because of William Hearsts' smear campaign resulting from the converted use from hemp as paper.
