Lift Federal Laws Against Cannabis

Created by D.M. on September 29, 2011

The Tenth Amendment of the Constitution reads:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Our Constitution does not empower the federal government to prohibit substances or to legislate morality. Therefore, the federal prohibition of cannabis and its derivatives is unconstitutional and should be lifted immediately, thereby allowing each state to legitimize its own cannabis industry through popular vote.

By signing below, the petitioners request the immediate dissolution of cannabis prohibition on the federal level. If not, We the People respectfully request a detailed justification for the denial with respect to the Constitution of our great nation. Thank you.
