Lift the Federal Student Loan Interest Tax Deduction! Currently tax payers can ONLY deduct interest paid up to $2500.

Created by V.E. on February 28, 2016

Student loans now exceed $1Trillion!!

Tax payers are being crippled by student loans! Being able to write off student loan interest paid on our federal taxes is a huge benefit, however currently the max deduction is ONLY $2500.

Removing the cap limit on the deduction would hugely benefit the American tax payers by reducing our taxable income and our tax bracket.

This will bring money back to the working class people who are currently being crushed by student debt and will incentivize people who are willing and able to pay off their student loans. Thus, getting them out of debt quicker.

Businesses are able to write off all interest paid with no caps. So why are people being treated like second class citizens?
