As part of the new sanctions the US is imposing on Russia, products from both Izhmash and Kalashnikov Concern (as well as products from companies owned by said companies) are banned from import. Not only is this a blatant backdoor gun ban & an attempt to undermine civilian ownership of these firearms, it could also mean the potential ban on certain types of ammunition for the civilian population.
