Lift the Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 and allow cannabis to be regulated just as alcohol is today.

Created by C.B. on September 25, 2011

The 1937 Marihuana Tax Act is a law that needs be be amended. Under this the growing of cannabis and industrial hemp is banned. Even hemp that contains very low levels of THC. Cannabis should be sold just as alcoholic beverages are sold today with a few changes to it. Tax's and law to be in place
Industrial hemp can be grown for it's natural fiber's to make a vast range of common house hold items that are "green" and good for the earth. Little to no pesticides are used, in the making of hemp. Hemp can hemp save some parts of the mid-west were farmers are calling it quits. Hemp and cannabis can be grown in a very short time and profit is high. We need a change for the better, people all around are being arrested for simple possession and home cultivation for personal use. Just my thought
