Lift marijuana from a schedule I narcotic. Legalize it to be sold to consumers with the same restrictions as alchohol

The Federal government needs to declassify cannabis as a schedule one narcotic. The failed "war on drugs" for a plant has resulted and hundreds of thousands of arrests that in turn have destroy people's chances in obtaining different careers, educational opportunities, and many other things that a senseless arrest record yields two. If we would put a tax on the marijuana and regulator and sell it the same way that alcohol is distributed and sold, then we could use those resources to create jobs, fix our crumbled infrastructure, fund school system, etc. We could also use the resources towards programs that help with actual substance abuse.
