Lift the national ban forbidding gay men from donating blood.

Created by R.D. on January 11, 2013

In a country where homosexuality has gone from a taboo, mental illness to an accepted and celebrated part of an individual, the time has come for yet another step toward full equality for all citizens of this nation.

Modern day medical research has shown that the blood of gay males is no more dangerous to the population than it ever has been or ever was. It (the blood of homosexual males) is indistinguishable from blood from a heterosexual male; diseases found in homosexual men are just as likely to be found in heterosexual ones, and the nation is tired of hearing otherwise.

The days of treating homosexuals as second class citizens are nearly over, but until then, we must continue the fight for what we know to be right.

Don't ban our blood. It might just save your life.
