Rose's biggest crime against baseball is betting on the game while he was still actively involved (never against his own team mind you). Rose's gambling didn't help him get 4,256 hits. It didn't mess with the outcome of a game, yet his crimes are considered more severe than the likes of a Sosa or a Bonds who have been caught and admitted to using some type of steroids which are banned by baseball and are proven to make you a better player (just look at Bonds). Pete Rose is the only player on the banned list for Hall of Fame eligibility and players like Sosa and Bonds are not? Hopefully this petition will wake up the powers that be and finally allow Pete Rose to be on a Hall of Fame ballot.
