Many young people have been stigmatized by unfair practices by law enforcement and judicial proceedings involving the possession and distribution of illicit substances. Even though lacking a relevant moral compass at the time, especially from those from economy deprived demographics, non-violent drug offenders can still be of service to this country and their communities. The restrictions impose cruel and unusual punishment by stripping then of basic American rights, and branding young offenders as unemployable, unreliable, and useless. The youth must be given hope in order to be reintroduced yto society
