Many Iranian students studying in American universities are under a near impossible financial burden attempting to pay for education now that money cannot be sent from Iranian bank accounts to accounts in the United States.
Many Americans rarely get the opportunity to meet Iranians outside of American universities due to the sanctions. Meeting an Iranian opens up many opportunities for Americans to expand cultural and geopolitical knowledge which will become extremely useful for the United States and Iran to be on friendly diplomatic terms once again.
