Lift the Trade Embargo on Cuba

For over 50 years, the U.S. Federal Government has restricted businesses and people under it's jurisdiction from trading with Cuba.This is a trace of cold-war sentiment that is not very relevant in today's world and economy. Estimates place the cost of the Cuban embargo to the US economy between $1.2 and $4.84 billion annually. A 2010 study by Texas A&M University calculated that 6,000 American jobs could be created by lifting the embargo. This could also lead to a new ally in the fight against ebola, as Cuban doctors have been making a huge contribution. The trade embargo is a relic of the Cold War, just like North Korea. It is unnecessary in this day and age to refuse to trade with Cuba.
