Please lift the dredge ban on federally controlled lands that has been wrongfully imposed by the state of California.
We have mineral rights to federal land but state law is being enforced preventing us from working it.
This ban is costing jobs and lost revenue for the local communities, the state and federal government by way of lodging, food, gas, equipment sales , taxes etc.
We have a right under federal mining law to work these lands.
This ban was imposed in 2009 pending an environmental impact review which was due and completed in 2011 and showed no ill effects from dredging yet the ban is still in affect.
