Lift the US Adoption Ban in Russia

Created by S.L. on May 01, 2014

There are over 700,000 orphans in Russia today. The United States of America was one of the countries with the most Russian adoptees. However, with the passing of the Dima Yakovlev law in Russia all adoptions have stopped.

We, the people of the United States urge the Obama administration to strengthen efforts to communicate with the Russian government on this issue, as well as lift the ban and uphold the US-Russia Bilateral Adoption Agreement (November 2012).
