As a class of future leaders and present taxpayers we have serious misgivings about allocating our tax revenue to foreign entities while our own needs are being given less priority. With the difficulties being experienced in our present economy, the hardhsips described by our own President should take precedence over any aid to a foreign country. The aid to Syria and Egypt are cases in point. It appears hypocritical to state we are in dire needs because of sequestration and then give aid to areas that have historically been less than friendly to the United States. If our needs are as serious as have been described it is the ultimate irony we still have enough money to aid rebels in Syria and Muslim fanatics in Egypt.
