On November 27, 2016, President-elect Trump tweeted the following: "In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally."
The allegation that millions voted illegally is of the utmost seriousness. Given that the President-elect has received intelligence briefings at the highest levels, and given that impugning the legitimacy of the results of an election he apparently won is contrary to his own interest, we must assume that he speaks knowledgeably on such matters.
In order to reassure the American people of the legitimacy of the 2016 election results, we therefore demand that the President organize a national recount and audit of all computers involved in the collection and tabulation of votes.
