We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

In light of the Pulse club shooting, the FDA should review their policy on blood transfusions by gay and bisexual men.

Created by C.C. on June 12, 2016

The Pulse nightclub shooting is a tragic act of domestic terrorism targeted at the LGBT community. Nothing can quite quell the sadness that is being felt in Orlando and across the United States as we mourn for those who lost their lives in this tragedy. You deserve better. Everyone deserves better.

At the time of writing this, the news is reporting at least 50 dead and 53 injured. Many of those involved are in the LGBT community. Their friends, family members, partners, and spouses are assisting in the care of the injured. This brings to light an issue still on the books with the FDA...

...gay and bisexual men cannot donate blood.

This is a ridiculous discrimination to continue against a community who has suffered greatly already for the HIV epidemic.

It is time for this to change.
