In light of recent evidence that Cannabis should be reclassified by several scientific bodies and legal professionals, we are asking that you consider and address the legalization of Cannabis with respect and serious consideration from President Obama.
The Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research (CMCR) as of July 2012, concluded that the legal status of Cannabis is not appropriate and is more similar to Schedule III substances than to Schedule I. The Journal of School Health's August 2012 issue includes a study released by 2 prominent scientists that suggest Cannabis is not a gatway Drug. As of May 2012, a Rasmussen Poll showed that as many as 56% of Americans also want Legalization. There are more examples than can be posted here, but please consider the science and public opinion.
