This petition is in support of lighting up the Whitehouse blue in recognition of Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) Day on June 30th. AMC is a rare condition that affects the child inuterin. The forming of the joints is compromised due to lack of space for the embryo to move. There are approximately 400 types of AMC or 400 conditions and syndromes that have congenital joint contractures (Arthrogryposis) as part of it. This affects 1 in every 3000 live births.
If you have seen a child with a club foot or a limb that doesn't bend correctly chances are that you have met a child affected by AMC. There is very little research on the cause of this and even less support for it. These kids are amazing and deserve to be recognized.Please help to bring finally bring this condition to "light"
