Limit the ability of pharmaceutical companies to over inflate the price of life saving drugs.

Created by S.G. on September 23, 2015

Companies have a right to make a profit, however, in recent events, a CEO decided to up the price of a life saving drug by 5000% with poor justification.
People need this drug to live, and with it being so far out of the price range of the majority of Americans, it could result in the deaths of people who cannot afford it. That, or severe monetary issues which would impact the individual's health (stress) and ability to participate as a consumer.
Our healthcare is already lagging behind most developed countries in terms of availability and affordability. Letting companies overprice medicine without solid reason wont help improve that.
I believe that it would be important to limit a pharmaceutical companies ability to raise prices on life saving drugs to protect our citizen's health.
