Dear President Barack Obama,
We the people are worried about the current trend in the American electoral process in which candidates are raising upwards of a billion dollars in support of their political campaigns. This gives an unfair advantage to wealthy political candidates and limits opportunities for many to run for public office. The rise of Super PACs and 501(c)(4)s and 501(c)(6)s have made political campaign extremely expensive and have made billionaire and million contributors more influential than the American voters! The American people want limits to be set on the amount of funds political candidates can receive and spend during each election cycle. This is imperative to maintaining the fundamental political principles of AMERICAN DEMOCRACY!!!
