The amount of homework students get daily is far too much. Students in grades k-12 spend hours upon hours working on homework. High school students especially are under a lot of pressure, they are expected to be well rounded and spend time volunteering, with their family, sports, to have a social life, and many other activities. Except, the amount of homework these students get daily inhibits them from doing these activities. Homework acts as a pressure cooker and with large amounts of it can cause students to break down from the stress. It is far too well known that many students stay up all night just to complete their nightly homework which negatively affects their overall wellness. We need to put a limit on homework to ensure the well being and sanity of our youth.
