Interest, or lobbying, group is an organization that attempts to sway elections with donations, influencing american democracy with large sums of money. This is completely contrary to this country's spirit of freedom. In America one person gets one vote and politicians are elected base on merit and their own ideas. Interest groups sell elections to the highest bidder and support candidates that pander to their cause. Limiting the amount of money a interest group is allowed to donate to a campaign will allow personal donations to once again mean something to campaigners and allow voters to exercise their right to vote more freely.
