Thousands of products on the shelves of American stores are wrapped in plastic. Some Products are wrapped in entirely too much plastic such as Potato Chips, chewing gum and countless other products.
Plastic bags take about 10-20 years to decompose, according to several published studies. This is an astounding number when all the plastic an average American uses per year is taken into account.
I propose the government regulate how much plastic can go into products based on volume and weight.
