Limit the amount of standardized testing in which a student in grades 5-12 may take.

Created by W.Y. on February 20, 2016

On behalf of students everywhere, we seek reform on the massive amount of standardized testing we have been forced to take. We have been shoved through a factory of anonymity to become mindless beings who can recite that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. Our lives have turned into cycles in which we crumble under the pressure to satisfy a never ending horde of testing. Standardized testing fails to address the larger picture of what makes an education worthwhile. Teachers are now being forced to take a "drill and kill" approach rather than trying to facilitate the application of concepts learned in school, resulting in the constriction of the curriculum. We, the people, challenge the government to take a stand to defend the quality of an American education.
