Limit the amount of terms that one can serve in congress.

Created by C.D. on April 03, 2012

I believe that if congress was limited to two terms of four years, just like the president, to serve in a house, that more would get done in Washington due to the fact that congress members would be more in touch with the public and HAS to live under the laws they make instead of having diplomatic immunity and having a guaranteed income. And they wouldn't be worried about voting a certain way to get reelected. In the original Articles of Confederation there was a term statute on the amount of time one could serve on a congressional house, but the founding fathers didn't see that one would become a "career politician" so they removed that statute. In the current state of the country congress is more concerned about pleasing their party than doing whats right for the American people.
