Congress last received a pay increase in FY2009, of 2.8%, resulting in $174,000/yr salary. Some would argue this promotes a "richer" lifestyle, disabling such representatives from making unbiased decisions which would benefit the greater population whose income is far less per annum.
Petition: Limit representative sentences to TWO terms per head, and limit individual income to that of the average middle class citizen, per census, from their elected cities/states. These term/wage limits promote honest candidates who run for office to change political decisions and better their state.
-Amend Article I Section 6 of our U.S. Constitution (Congress determines own wages) to reinstitute checks and balances, and avoid conflict of interest in our Federal Government.
