Limit congressional lobbying. Groups like the NRA should not have a larger voice with our representatives than we do.

Created by D.S. on December 22, 2012

Limit the power of lobbies in DC.
All too often the will of the people is subverted by groups who do not have the best interest of the people in mind simply because of the money they "donate" to campaigns and the relationships they develop with congressmen. The relationship between the elected official and the people they represent should be the ONLY relationship that matters.
As an example: in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre politicians from all sides called for, among other things, more control of assault weapons & magazines. Many have since backed away from a very reasonable position due to the intense pressure of the NRA. Congress should NOT be intimidated by ANY group and forced to ignore the will of the people. WE elected them, not the NRA or any other group!
