Members of congress, both the House and the Senate, should be limited to one term. This term could be six or eight years, long enough to learn the ropes and be effective. If their service is limited to one term, members of Congress will not have to spend time fund raising and currying favor for their next election. Anyone who has already served in Congress should be prohibited from lobbying. If we cannot limit the amount of money in government, we can limit the effect.
