Limit Congressional terms to a period of 8 years and not provide health benefits or a pension after their term is served

We need to limit Congressional terms to a period of 8 years and end the practice of providing healthcare benefits and a pension for the rest of their lives. Oh.... And this should be a public election....congress should not have a say in this issue. The government is by the people and for the people. The government works for us, we the people should take control by not allowing politicians to set themselves up for the rest of their lives at the tax payers expense. Congressmen and women should not be career politicians. In fact, there should be no career politicians. It is hard to represent the people if you have lost touch with what it is to earn a living by means of working.
