We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Limit Congressmen to a two term limit and a fixed salary equivalent to the median American income

Created by C.W. on December 12, 2016

The current salary for a United States congressman is $174,000 while the average American makes only $51,393. In order to ensure that congress is doing what is best for American citizens, their pay should be directly linked to the previous year's average income for American citizens. Like the President, they should also be kept to a two term limit as to avoid the entanglement and collusion between business and politics. Public office is not supposed to be a way to get rich. Rather, it is a civic duty done out of service. Limit congress to two terms and a salary dependent on the economic health of the American working man and woman.
